Matters of the heart  (Canada) (99.244.111.3)

The youth mimic more of what adults do and less of what they hear from the same adults. When our walk is found out to be totally opposite to our talk, the youth become even more confused. It basically starts with the adults, to be mentors of integrity, honesty and trustworthiness. No matter how loud we speak, our actions speak louder thatn our words. May God help us for the harm we have done as adults.

Re: Matters of the heart  (Canada) (99.245.158.115)

Since I dealt with the topic of being unqually yoked I have received a lot of feedback from the youth. During the discussions with them I know for sure that I need to do another sermon on the matter. The other thing that I have discovered is that many of them do not know what the Bible says about the matter and others suggest that God did not mean that we should not get into any relationship with those who are not of our faith. But the most shocking feedback was when a few of them kept bringing up the point that "my parents did and they are doing well." This shows how much influence adults have in the lives of youth. I agree that many of the things that they say and do has to do with what has been modeled.
